Historians believe that the pyramids were built as tombs for Pharaohs and their consorts. In the case of the West 57th pyramid-like residential tower however, the only Pharaoh in sight is Bjarke Ingels. BIG, as he is often referred to, is the Danish architect venerated for his “pragmatic utopian architecture”. He stands behind design that is both playful and practical, and he has chosen to develop his first utopia this side of the pond in our own backyard.

On Feb. 24 the sassiest moms in the city of Chicago will head out for their very own and well deserved, Girls Night Out! When coming up with ideas for writing this article, I was doing some research on Emilio Pucci's Creative Director Mr. Peter Dundas. After following Pucci for years and discovering Mr. Dundas, it was his inspiration and designs for his new collection that inspired me and showed a huge similarity between the beauty, color, lifestyle, and weather in Miami to his new Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

Saturday follows with the annual Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, which is always incredibly fun to watch. Sunday is the big event, with the NBA All-Star game at 7pm ET. All of these events, and many more involving the All-Star Weekend, on ESPN and TN, and we need to represent the West Coast!
