West Elm Event Showcased Fall Home Furnishings in Support of DIFFA
West Elm in Mockingbird Station knows how to pimp your crib. And just like any other type of fashion, interior design has seasons as well, which is why West Elm decided to throw an evening soiree to celebrate their new Fall lines. This week, a $20 dollar donation, 10 percent of which was donated to DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids) earned attendees a 10 percent discount at West Elm, along with a discount at a slew of other participating Mockingbird Station stores, like 25 percent off at Gap, 20 percent at hip shoe spot Centre and more.

Haute horses: Del Mar Debuts
If you are a player of the ponies, you know what the end of July means. It is the opening of the season at the Del Mar Race Track, one of the prettiest places to enjoy horseracing, with some of the biggest stakes in the Southern California circuit. Races will be held five days a week through labor day, with particular highlights including the Clement L. Hirsch Stakes on August 7 (in which unbeated Zenyatta is confirmed to race), the $1 million Pacific Classic on August 19, and the Del Mar Futurity.

Haute Event: LeBron James Returns to Tao; Twilight Stars Host at Lavo
After partying at Lavo on Friday, LeBron James continued his weekend long Vegas celebration at Tao Beach and Tao on Saturday. King James arrived to cheers was joined in the grand cabana by a group of friends including new Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets. At one point the fans in the pool chanted his name and LeBron pulled out his camera to capture the moment.
