For years, San Franciscans and those throughout the Bay Area have toted their posh pooches to restaurants with outdoor seating. However, it didn’t become legal until Jan. 1, 2015 when a statewide law allowing pets at bars and restaurants—Gov. Jerry Brown, a pet parent, signed the legislation last summer—went into effect.
