It was one of the hottest days in San Francisco (and we don’t get too many), when I spotted the perfect oversized wool coat through a window on Jackson Street. I was fighting my conscience for recent overspending, but my love for fashion took over and I walked into the beautiful landmark building. Despite the fact I am more a “feathers and sequins” kind of gal, I always loved the French charm of Isabel Marant.

Fall 2015 Ready-To-Wear collection presented at the store is effortless and sophisticated: super high-rise jeans—the key item of the collection, buttoned ankle boots seen dominating the Fall 2015 Fashion show, classic stripes, skinny leather pants and flirty white chiffon skirts, which will totally make me ignore the “no white after Labor Day” rule.

Isabel Marant’s general manager, Tiara Chameleon Perry, gave me a tour of the store, where I learned the building was once the largest whiskey repository. I knew there had to be another reason besides the plaid coat that moved me inside that afternoon! The most stylish employees I have seen in my retail experience were wearing the pieces from the latest collection, which prompted me to at least try on the same styles.

Isabel Marant could not have chosen a better location for her trendsetting brand. Spacious place with tall mirrors, brick walls, extra long cool couch — to me it is the ultimate “it” spot and a great addition to our beautiful city. Here’s to many years of making San Francisco more beautiful!
