Filini’s ‘The Best of Italy’ Dinner

With the recent opening of Eataly Chicago, there has been a fresh new wave of excitement for Italian dining. This is the perfect opportunity to talk about one of my absolute favorite Italian spots, Filini in the award-winning Radisson Blu Aqua hotel (221 North Columbus Drive). In case you haven’t read any of my past praise-filled posts about Filini, allow me to make a long story short, it’s everything you want in an Italian restaurant and more. The little personal touches they put on their dishes ensures you will never get a similar meal anywhere else. They will be driving that point home next week with their Best of Italy Dinner featuring one of Radisson Blu’s top chefs from Italy.

On Saturday, January 18, 2014 Filini Bar and Restaurant is welcoming guest Chef Dario Abbate from the Radisson Blu in Milan, who has spent the early part of his career at a string of Michelin-starred restaurants in both Italy and France. Chef Abbate will be hosting a private dining event where guests can enjoy authentic regional cuisine.

The evening will begin with a welcome cocktail reception at Blu Bar beginning at 7pm. Hors d’oeuvres will be served along with a selection of wines expertly selected by WineBow. Following the pre-reception, a five-course dinner will be served with wines from Ceretto Winery.
