MADE Hotel Offers A Chic Escape For Quick Turnaround Travelers

For the weary business traveler, the two-day layover visitor, and the in-and-out-event traveler, finding the right hotel can mean a long line of standard issue hotels that have no real voice. At MADE, the chic NoMad hotel on 29th Street, a compact room goes a long way by adding a little bit of style.

For so many compact hotel rooms, the business operation is fit as many people into this building as possible for the quick turnover flights. MADE has gone to great lengths to make the quick turnaround travelers lives a bit more relaxing with a space that feels warm and welcoming after a long day. From wooden walls to concrete ceilings and exposed rods for an “open, hanging closet”, every detail in the MADE Hotel is carefully curated with the traveler in mind.

The bed is a plush mattress set atop a platform about eight inches off the ground, that also holds two drawers containing a safe and any laundry needs. A television, mini bar (that contains tons of high end options from the likes of Cannibal Liquor House, select alcoholic options, even sunglasses from Foak, and alarm clock are also tucked into a contemporary set of metal rods mounted on the wall, that act as a closet to hang up everything from the lush bathrobes to tomorrow morning’s suit.

The bathrooms in the hotel are a great balance of relaxation and modern aesthetics. With a stone basin sink to act as a grounding force for the rest of the room, the neutral tones and modern design are really relaxing. Not to mention, the hotel solves the all-important problem showers worldwide face: having to get your arm wet with cold water while turning it on. At MADE, the turn lever is on the other side of the rainfall shower, so everyone can stay warm.

The hotel is also home to Ferris, one of New York’s hottest new restaurants. Ferris sits just below the hotel, and accessible a stairwell outside or from the hotel’s elevators, bringing anyone from their floor to the restaurant in no time. Ferris is a great restaurant, but in particular for those looking for the ultimate date night, making MADE Hotel a great staycation option for New Yorkers looking to get away. (And with a location in the northern part of NoMad, the neighborhood is likely to be an area locals don’t frequent often with restaurants and hotels mostly in the area.)

For any traveler looking to find a place that doesn’t feel so lifeless after a long day of meetings or in between layover flights, MADE Hotel is fun, inviting, and built for the traveler on the go.
