L.A. native Jennifer Meyer has crafted the ultimate love letter to Los Angeles in her latest jewelry line, a collaboration with Net-a-Porter.
Jennifer, whose delicate baubles are worn on daily red carpets by the creme de la creme of Hollywood starlets (including pals Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow), is the perfect person to create the SoCal-inspired collection: not only was she born in Malibu, but her dad, Ron Meyer, runs a studio (he’s the Vice Chairman of NBCUniversal), she’s married to an actor—Spiderman star Tobey Maguire—and her company’s slogan is actually even “made with love in Los Angeles.” So, essentially, it made sense for Meyer to create pieces based on that signature L.A. element: the palm tree.
The seven-piece capsule collection for Net-a-Porter features rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets in 18-karat gold, some of which feature turquoise (reminiscent of the Pacific) and diamonds. The pieces retail for $350 to $4000.
“To me, palm trees really symbolize the landscape of Los Angeles, one of my favorite places in the world,” Meyer said in a statement, adding, “I think turquoise and diamonds are one of the most beautiful combinations and I love how they came together perfectly in representing the palm tree. I hope that these pieces will make you feel like you have a little bit of summer with you always!”
The good news: with these piece, you actually can.
