Givenchy
The French “too cool for school” brand is coming to the Big Apple during NYFW which will herald in the brands’s first NYC flagship. Ricardo Tischi, the creative director is slated to come for the runway event and store opening— rest assured this show will bring in some star power. Celebs like Kris Jenner are big fans of Givenchy. Even though the fashion show is closed to the public,the ribbon will be cut for the shop on Sept 11. That’s a shop worth seeing.

Madonna and Katie Perry are big fans of this whimsical clothing brand thanks to “bad-boy” designer, Jeremy Scott. The Kansas City born designer brings his irreverent style to the fun Italian brand that has a history of irony in their collections.Enjoy the massive black pump used as seating centrally located at the Wooster street shop. It will definitely put a smile on your face.

This ’70s leather heritage brand is know for its vegetable dyed leather goods but many don’t know it is a great place for sweats, hats and other cold weather gear. The Elizabeth Street address marks their first New York boutique and there is a garden in back which will be used as an event space—check in for possible fashion week happenings.

Bergdorf Goodman
In addition to the first comprehensive renovation of the 6th floor since the ’80s called “The New Level of Fashion,” the uber-elite New York address will feature ED Ellen DeGeneres. Ms. DeGeneres’s handcrafted collection of housewares, clothing and accessories will debut exclusively at BG starting during fashion week. Look out for a dedicated window in front of the store.

Hermes Parfumerie
They are only the best fragrances and perfumes on earth so its a no-brainer that the purveyor of coveted handbags, silk scarves and men’s ties has decided to open a stand-alone parfumerie in the new downtown shopping center, Brookfield Place. The slated opening is Sept 14th and they will be selling an exclusive candle to mark the occasion.

If you’re a man who wants impeccable tailoring with a contemporary feel, then Jeffrey Rudes is worth checking out. The designer focus is the jacket. Rudes believes that an exquisitely fitting jacket is the hallmark of a man who has it together. “It begins with the fabric and ends with how you feel,” is the mantra. This shop is not Rudes’ first foray into menswear: He was a partner in the very successful denim business J BRAND Jeans, and he brings that casual-yet-contemporary vision to his first menswear endeavor.
