Philip Goldfarb Named Chairman of FIU Chaplin School

Haute 100-lister Philip Goldfarb has been named the new chairman of the Advisory Council of Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. Goldfarb is a graduate of the Chaplin School and previously served as a vice chairman and advisor to the school. His success as President and Chief Operating Officer at the Fontainebleau led him to win the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce “Excellence in Tourism Award.” Goldfarb also received “FIU’s Torchbearer Award” and the “FIU Medallion” back in 2007, and the university hopes that the continued collaboration between the alumnus and the Chaplin School can continue to bring new direction and growth for the school.

Regarding his appointment, Goldfarb said, “I am deeply honored to assume the Chairmanship of the Advisory Council at my alma mater, Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. I will approach this opportunity with enthusiasm and dedication, and look forward to using the expertise I have gained throughout my years in the hospitality industry to benefit the students, programs, and overall Chaplin School.”
