There are some diehard celebrity who simply cannot live without Christian Louboutin’s handbags headed to Chateau Marmont last week for a luxe luncheon celebrating the brand’s new handbag collection.

Guests like Emmy Rossum, Camilla Belle, Dita Von Teese, Alessandra Ambrosio and Jennifer Missoni headed to the Chateau’s garden to inspect the Fall/Winter 2014 ‘Passage’ purse, which was modeled after the designer’s first store in Paris’ Passage Véro-Dodat.

Though Louboutin himself was not present, his fans seemed to enjoy themselves at the fashionable fete anyway, as they sipped on pink Champagne and donned crowns made of daisies, roses and orchids by a florist.

They, like the rest of the world, however, will have to wait until June to purchase the new line. Items range in price from $1,795 for the mini-messenger bag to $4,995 for bags made of exotic materials.

Christian Louboutin was created in 1992 when Louboutin opened his first store at 19 Jean-Jacques Rousseau in Paris. The brand currently has 87 stores worldwide. A seminal volume entitled ‘Christian Louboutin’ charts the success of the company over the last two decades and is available now, published by Rizzoli. Recent special collaborations with legendary Parisian Cabaret, Crazy Horse and Walt Disney Studios along with special projects with those from the worlds of music, art and film typify the creative dexterity of the designer. A retrospective exhibition of his inventive designs was held in 2012 at London’s prestigious Design Museum and in 2013 at the Design Exchange in Toronto, Canada.
