Where were you born ?
Manhattan Beach, CA
How long in Los angeles:
Since birth!
South Bay. Often confused by some Angelenos for Orange County.
Business Owner, Caterer, Chef
Favorite Restaurant:
Alinea, Chicago. MB Post, Manhattan Beach
Best Sushi:
Izaka-ya, Katsu-ya
Best Italian:
Osteria Mozza or any hole in the wall joint in Florence, Italy. I studied there in college and had to invest in expandable pants before Lululemon was cool.
Best dessert:
Cake Bakeshop, French Macarons. Unreal.
Best place for a romantic date:
Gjelina. How can you go wrong with great food and delicious wine?
Best Sunday brunch:
Martha’s on 22nd St in Hermosa Beach.
Best place for a power business meeting:
Four Seasons Beverly Hills, for breakfast.
If you have out of town guests, which hotel would you recommend?
SLS Hotel if they’re staying in Los Angeles or Shade if they’re in the South Bay.
Favorite shopping venue/boutique:
Michelle’s, Hermosa Beach.
Best Spa:
Olympic Spa. No frills, just a crazy body scrub that is required quarterly maintenance!
Favorite Charity Event:
Taste of the Nation, Los Angeles
Favorite Cultural Event:
Manhattan Beach Fireworks in December or 4th of July on the Strand!
Favorite Cultural Institution:
Hollywood Bowl
Best Pizza:
Casa Bianca. My family has been eating pizza there since it opened in 1955.
Best Lunch:
At my desk. I kid! I love Clementine in Century City or The Ivy. The Chop Salad is to die and the obnoxious people watching is fabulous entertainment.
Best Gym/Athletic Facility:
Equinox, Century City
Best Massage:
Kristie, Trilogy Spa. Know you know all my secrets.
Best Limousine/Driving Service:
PV Limo. Our family has been using their service since 1983.
Best Museum/Exhibit:
Favorite historic/legendary place to see or explore:
The Stahl House off of Sunset. Ridiculous architectural home. Or East West Studios. Recording studio in Hollywood.
All-around favorite locale in Los Angeles, whether a neighborhood, restaurant, venue, or other
The beach. Nothing cleanses the heart and mind quite like the beating of the ocean.
Best aspect of Los Angeles
The die-hard Angelenos. The people who never complain about the weather, the traffic or the people. We are Los Angeles and love this city unconditionally.
