Swissôtel, the award-winning hotel group, announced its plans to open a new luxury hotel in the heart of the business district of Kazan, Russia.
Kazan has 1.2 million inhabitants and is situated a mere 800 kilometers from Moscow. It’s an important destination for business and major sporting events in Russia and was recently classed as one of the top Russian cities by Forbes Magazine based on business climate and attractiveness.
These plans come after the success of the Swissôtel Krasnye Holmy in Moscow, and the new Swissôtel Riviera Tower Kazan marks the next step in the Swiss company’s growth in the Eastern European market.
The Swissôtel Riviera Tower Kazan is scheduled to open in 2016, and the ultramodern skyscraper will dominate the Kazan skyline and tower over the banks of the Kazanka River.
The Tower Kazan will combine cutting-edge design with personalized service, aiming to provide luxury for business travelers as well as attracting more tourists to the city.
A 16,000-square foot spa and sports complex will be one of the main features of the new hotel, which will also boast 211 guest rooms and suites, a number of conference rooms, restaurants and a ballroom.
