What Made Him Haute: Paul Tudor Jones II is a self-made hedge fund billionaire, who founded New York City poverty-fighting group Robin Hood Foundation in 1988. The ultra successful foundation raised $70 million in 2007 at a single banquet. He also formed another victorious foundation called the One to One Charitable Fund, which is said to have raised $125 million. This foundation has devoted most of its profits to helping disadvantage children. Jones also predicted Black Monday in 1987, which was one of his earliest achievements and an event that allowed him to triple his earnings.

What Makes Him Haute Now: For the holidays, Paul Tudor Jones II is awing the Greenwich community in Connecticut where he lives. Jones has installed an amazing display of holiday lights to show off his huge million dollar estate. The hedge fund titan spreads a whole lot of Christmas cheer each year around Greenwich. It has become such a spectacular site that off-duty police officers have to direct the traffic around Jones’13,000-square-foot home. Only eight cars at a time are allowed to lineup in front of the sprawling light display at a time, and a soundtrack synchronized to the thousands of flashing lights plays over the radio. The entire cycle lasts about five minutes.
