Borracho Cantina Opens on the Strip

There are any number of reasons to need to try one (or more) from over 100 types of tequila.  In LA we can rarely blame the weather, but having a long day is an old standby, as is a cancelled yoga class.  In order to put ourselves right again, Borracho Cantina has opened on the Sunset Strip almost in a move toward public service.

It is a Mexican restaurant in that it’s got cerveza and Corona logos abound, painted into the white brick walls and a drinks menu filled with all those things that made you forget most of your last trip down south.  They take Guacamole to the next level by adding Pomegranate and Queso Fresca, there is a mouth-watering Tortilla Soup, Chorizo Quesadilla, and Duck Tacos with Pecan Mole, that sound almost like dessert.

With regard to making your day go a little smoother, they believe that one happy hour is sadly limiting.  That’s why they’ve decided that from 3 – 6pm and then again from 10pm – 1am, you can get as happy as possible.  They’ll have a DJ on certain nights and they’ve got TVs on which you’ll find whatever game it is you came to watch – although if you can’t get a table with a view of the TV you can watch the games being played on that strip of Sunset anyway.

Borracho Cantina is located at 8570 W. Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood (310) 289-8809
