David Tepper is on the verge of demonstrating the American ideal that "bigger is better." According to brokers familiar with the deal as reported by The Wall Street Journal and Curbed Hamptons, the hedge-funder, who also made Haute Living's Haute 100 list this year, is set to close a notable deal on the priciest house sold in the Hamptons this year. The deal was made sans a broker by Tepper and Joanne Corzine, the ex-wife of Jon Corzine - the former governor and senator of New Jersey and former Goldman Sachs CEO.

Opening tonight at the Third Line is "Cairo Dreams", an exhibition revealing new sculptural work by Susan Hefuna. Currently on view at Meem Gallery in Dubai is Art in Iraq Today: Part V, the final part of five exhibitions displaying contemporary Iraqi art. Curated by Dia Al-Azzawi, the exhibit features recent work by Ali Jabbar, Halim Al-Karim, and Mahmoud Obaidi. The show reveals the varying artistic depths of Iraqi contemporary artists practicing throughout the world. It pays tribute to the memory of Jabra Ibrahim Jabra and his influential essays on modern Iraqi art entitled "Art in Iraq Today."

Last Thursday night, The Society hosted the private Miami opening of Bill Cunningham New York at O Cinema. The documentary, which covers the life of one of New York’s icons-Bill Cunningham, has earned rave reviews from various international publications and film festivals. O Cinema has extended their showings through the week ending Sunday, May 1.
