Andre Balazs, the New York City hotelier and residential developer, has planned to launch a seaplane service for New Yorkers. This shuttle will bring people from the 23rd street seaport to East Hampton airport. The flight service will be available to the public, but guests of the Standard in the Meatpacking District and Sunset Beach will be able to book room and shuttle package deals for a low price. This shuttle will not only cut time in your travels, but you won’t have to deal with the frustrating New York traffic. Eventually, Balazs plans to give traveler’s the option to charter the plane to east coast hot spots like Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod, and even the Hudson Valley. Balazs is still in the running to build a hotel at the landmark Eero Saarinen TWA terminal at the JFK airport that has been vacant for years.

My time in Paris was amazing. We ate lunch at Hotel Costes, where they have the best dessert called framboises du bois (a very small strawberry variety that you can only get in France) with creme fraiche. We also went to see the Anish Kapoor Exhibit at the Grand Palais. I have never seen such a fabulous exhibit.
