Jerry Seinfeld Adds Comedy Show For Hurricane Relief

News | November 8, 2012

Jerry Seinfeld will add to his busy fall standup schedule with a December 19 show at Long Island’s NYCB Theater whose proceeds will go to Hurricane Sandy relief. The Westbury appearance will cap five performances spread across each borough, including tonight’s at the Walt Whitman Theater in Brooklyn.

Though born in Brooklyn, Seinfeld grew up out on the Island in Massapequa. And while his decade-defining sitcom was a sardonic love letter to New York, the comedian’s routines will now deliver a very earnest benefit to the region–profits from the Whitman show and a December 6 swing through Staten Island will go to local relief funds. Colin Quinn will open for Seinfeld at all the performances.
