Haute Events: Neiman Marcus Hosts Derek Lam and Carmen Marc Valvo

It’s a fashion frenzy this week as Neiman Marcus plays host to two of the fashion world’s luminaries. First, there’s an appearance by Derek Lam, designer for his namesake line as well as beloved Italian label Tod’s, and then there’ll be a second big name when Carmen Marc Valvo visits the store and shows you how to dress for your red carpet moments. Get your outfits ready — there’s going to be fierce fashion competition at both of these events.

On April 6th, Derek Lam will be showcasing his latest collection of ready-to-wear as well as handbags and accessories at the Fashion Island Neiman Marcus location. His latest collection features the prints that he’s become known for as well as some great new bags and shoes — with everything from everyday slouchy hobos to more ladylike clutches and handle bags, you’re sure to find something to covet.

The following day, April 7th, Carmen Marc Valvo will be presenting and signing his new book, Dressed to Perfection: The Art of Dressing for Your Red Carpet Moments. Not only has he dresses some of Hollywood’s biggest names, he’s also survived colon cancer, so a portion of the proceeds from book sales will benefit the National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance.

Both appearances will take place on the store’s second level. Clear your schedule, some room in your closet and bookcase and get ready for some face time with some fashion greats.
