How To Ignite Your July 4th Celebration In Las Vegas

Las Vegas is rolling out the red, white and blue carpet for America’s birthday, offering everything from firecracker cakes to fireworks shows. With celebrations igniting the city on July 4th and all week long, you’re sure to have a blast.

Saturday, June 30

Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip kicks off a week of 4th of July celebrations with an extravagant fireworks show, starting at 9:20 p.m. on June 30. Take in the colorful light show during a viewing party at the Venus European Pool Lounge at Caesars Palace from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets start at $99.

Indulge in an up-close-and-personal viewing of the fireworks along with a Prosecco toast, directly across the street from Caesars at GIADA at The Cromwell, beginning at 8 p.m. All you have to do to reserve your window seat is spend a minimum of $85 on food.

It’s fireworks and a five-course meal atop Voodoo Steakhouse at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. The delicious dinner is paired with Perrier-Jouët champagne and fantastic views of the fireworks from the 50th-floor, open-air patio. Rooftop reception starts at 7 p.m. and dinner starts at 7:30 p.m.

Haute spots for viewing fireworks: 550 feet in the air on the High Roller at the Linq Promenade (book a private cabin); Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas.

Wednesday, July 4

The Strip will be bookended by fireworks shows on July 4th starting with Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino at 9 p.m. and the iconic Stratosphere Hotel & Casino at 9:15 p.m. Fireworks will also be shot from four Stations Casinos at 9 p.m., including Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa and Red Rock Resort & Spa.

Make it a jammin’ July 4th with reggae fusion prior to the fireworks as Mystic Roots Band performs in concert at 8 p.m., part of the Concert on the Beach series at Mandalay Bay Beach. Concert-goers are invited to stay and watch the fireworks show.

The Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis at Caesars Palace presents singer and songwriter Charli XCX for a concert at the Neptune pool at 4 p.m. The fun starts at noon with live entertainment, a DJ and drink specials.

Las Vegas Citylights

Sundance Helicopters will take your fireworks viewing to another level with its 4th of July Aerial Tour including limousine pick-up and drop-off at your Las Vegas Strip hotel, 40-minute helicopter ride amidst a dazzling array of fireworks and a Champagne toast.

Haute spots for viewing the fireworks: Once again, the High Roller Skyfall Lounge at Delano Las Vegas; Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay; APEX Social Club atop the Palms Casino Resort.

Dive into your 4th fun with Dada Life at Drai’s Beach Club atop The Cromwell or Andrew Rayel at Marquee Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, both at 11 a.m.

At 10:30 p.m., the world’s hottest DJs get the party spinning at some the city’s most luxurious and high-energy nightclubs. Shows include Kaskade and Melo-D in the Ling Ling Club at Hakkasan inside MGM Grand; Zedd at Omnia inside Caesars Palace; Migos at Drai’s; The Chainsmokers at XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas; DJ Chuckie at Marquee; Jauz at Intrigue at Wynn Las Vegas; and Deejay Silver at Hyde Bellagio.

July 1

Grab your bathing suit and flip-flops for Swim Night at Drais Beach Club. Across the way at Omnia at Caesars Palace, Zedd takes the stage. Doors for both venues open at 10 p.m.

July 4

Diplo makes a grand 4th finale at 10:30 p.m. amid a 94-foot waterfall, man-made mountain and flaming fountains at Intrigue. Is that the bass that’s booming or the fireworks?

The master bakers at family-owned Freed’s Bakery, star of the hit Food Network show “Vegas Cakes,” have whipped up a Firecracker Cake, shaped like a festive, red firecracker. Freed’s, located at 9815 S. Eastern Ave., will also offer the These Colors Don’t Run cake with decorative red, white and blue frosting; Strawberries dipped in milk and white chocolate; and a holiday-themed cupcake in vanilla, chocolate or red velvet.

TREVI Italian Restaurant, located in The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, has a specialty Red, White and BOOM strawberry margarita made with triple sec, tequila, Blue Curaçao, sweet and sour mix, fresh strawberry and lime.

Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas has a star-spangled 4th of July brunch menu with festive foods including Red Velvet Pancakes with cream cheese frosting and blueberries; Red, White and Blue Parfait with strawberry sauce and blueberries; and Red, White and Blue Potato Salad with Summer Dill Dressing.
