The Magic City has tons to offer in terms of decadent dining and drinking selections, with varying exotic cuisines and experiential meals. With new restaurants popping up throughout the city and old staples still holding their ground, we’ve taken a look at some of Miami’s most expensive restaurants. While these may leave your pockets feeling a bit emptier than when you arrived, it’s sure to “wow” your special someone that you’re trying to impress. Here’s a look at our top 5 picks:

1 NAOE

This five-star Japanese restaurant located on Brickell Key offers one of the most unique dining experiences in Miami: an eight-seat only, chefs-selection only, $200 prix-fixe menu. The whole experience is about three hours, and features a menu created by Chef Kevin Cory that varies each night depending on what he feels is the very best to offer that day. You can rest assured that whatever it may be, it will be exquisite. Make sure to plan ahead, because this restaurant is strictly reservation-only and basically impossibly to get seats for without at least 3-4 days in advance planning, with only two time slots: 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

2 PAO by Paul Qui at Faena

Juan Fernando Ayora
The most opulent hotel on Miami Beach would fittingly house two of the most expensive restaurants as well. The first is the Asian PAO by Paul Qui restaurant, lavishly decorated in shades of deep red and gold, with a unicorn theme prevalent throughout the restaurant. The spot's signature cocktail, the Myth, comes served in a fancy copper mug shaped like a unicorn for $25. Elaborate menu items like the CdB Wagyu Beef Ribeye is a must-try priced at $225.

3 Los Fuegos by Francis Mallmann

The renowned Argentinian steakhouse is the second restaurant in the Faena, complete with ornate decor and an open-fire kitchen serving up five-star Argentinian cuisine. Appetizers range around the $20 price range, with mains ranging from $30-$95 depending on what sort of dish you're looking for. The restaurant also boasts an extensive cocktail and wine menu. To taste some of their best, we recommend the Bone-In Veal Milanesa for $59 and the 30 oz. Bone-in Ribeye for $95.

4 Bazaar South Beach / Bazaar Mar

Chef José Andrés is famous for his inventive dishes, fusing high-quality cuisine with culinary physics, creating a dining experience that is both playful and artful. However, a meal at one of these two hotspots will definitely cost you, but it is well worth the price. Both restaurants feature his signature tapas-style plates, so guests are able to get tons of flavor in small bites, but in turn must order a decent amount of items, which racks up the bill. Make sure to order oysters at either spot, at Bazaar South Beach with Caviar, and at Bazaar Mar with Ceviche. Other standouts are the signature cones, which come with uni or caviar and edible gold flakes.

5 Il Mulino New York

The iconic New York hotspot comes to Miami at two locations in Miami Beach in the luxe SoFi area and Sunny Isles' Acqualina Hotel & Residences. Both locations rank at the top in terms of romantic ambiance and high-quality, five-star cuisine. It's easily one of the most expensive Italian restaurants in the city, although you definitely get your money's worth with the complimentary selection of signature starters that the restaurant offers, such as the fried zucchini chips, aged parmesan and more. The elegant dining setting is the perfect date night spot to indulge in rich food and fantastic wines.
