Perrier-Jouët Hosts Crime X Design Painting Launch During Basel

Crime x Design, the social media sensational who curates his feed with luxury, glamour, and celebrities, hosted an exclusive Art Basel dinner party at Bagatelle Miami Beach on Thursday, December 1^st to reveal his new art pieces with Perrier-Jouët. This private dining and gallery experience provided guests, which included fellow artist, Alec Monopoly, with unlimited glasses of Perrier-Jouët Champagne, the debut of CxD’s seven art pieces, and a sampling of Bagatelle’s best dishes.

The night’s meal started with a first course consisting of appetizers such as salade Bagatelle, yellowfin tuna tartare, seafood ceviche, home-made Parisian gnocchi, and a pizza a la truffe noire. Guests grazed on mahi mahi de Floride, sterling grilled hanger steak, truffled chicken and elbow pasta with French ham.

With a long seated dinner table stretching out to the end of the restaurant, Crime’s colorful and centered Eiffel Tower piece was sure to grab guest’s immediate attention. The Eiffel Tower was noted as one of Crime’s first chosen symbolic representations of his brand and hustle. “The Ballerinas are my favorite, if I have to choose,” said the nascent artist.

Crime’s inspiration initially came from his best friend, a ballerina who never showed her feet. Due to the mysterious yet painful reasoning as to why he believed her feet were never exposed, Crime allowed his art to showcase how ballerina’s feet may be abused through two of the pieces exhibited at the dinner. Crime also elaborated on his ‘Empire State Building’ painting claiming, “the curve was intentional”, which further supported his desire to be authentically different. The dinner concluded with dancing in pure celebration for Crime’s success thus far.
