Haute Event: Skrillex Brings His Bass to Light

Skrillex took over the decks at Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay on Saturday night. The dub-stepper and a large group of friends headed to star chef Akira Back’s Kumi Japanese Restaurant & Bar. Then it was off to a packed house at Light, where thousands of dedicated Skrillex fans awaited.
Dressed in his signature all black, the bass master then hopped in the deejay booth at 1 a.m. and destroyed the decks, playing an explosive bass-intensive set that quaked the dance floor. He also dropped a few of classic and new songs including the smash hit “Bangarang,” “Stranger,” “Ease My Mind,” and “Recess” off his new album. During his set, fans were also treated to breathtaking choreographed performances by Light’s Cirque du Soleil artists, who mesmerized guests above the dance floor and throughout the venue. After an electrifying, high energy set Skrillex, continued the party with friends in his room.
