Tom Hanks has signed on to star in his third big screen adaptation of a Dan Brown novel.
He will reunite with director Ron Howard, also for a third time, in Inferno.
He will reprise his role as Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon in the film; previous films have included The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons.
The movie will be released through Sony Pictures on Dec. 18, 2015.
Imagine is on board to produce, with David Koepp writing the script.
Hanks’ co-stars will include Chris Hemsworth, Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson, Tom Holland and Sam Keeley.
