Republican Governors to Speak in Aspen

Last week the Democratic governors got their turn to talk, and on Thursday, July 25, the Republican governors will have a chance to chat. As part of the McCloskey speaker series hosted by The Aspen Institute, Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey, Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Gov. Pat McCrory of North Carolina, Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana, and Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin will share the spotlight to discuss “What’s Working at the State Level?” The conversation will be moderated by Jonathan Martin, national political correspondent for the New York Times.

Five Democratic governors–Gov. John Hickenlooper, of Colorado; Jay Inslee, of Washington; Jay Nixon, of Missouri; Peter Shumlin, of Vermont; and Lincoln Chafee, of Rhode Island–gathered July 13 to discussed the economy and the job market at the Aspen Institute.

The conversation takes place at 6 p.m. in the Greenwald Pavilion. Tickets are $20.
