Haute Fashion: Trico Field in Beverly Hills – Destination for Kids with Style

This past sunny weekend marked vintage fashion historian and photographer Rin Tanaka’s second annual Inspiration showcase.  High-end vendors from around the world, highly obsessed with the culture of “California cool,” invaded the Queen Mary in Long Beach to share pricey, nostalgic threads and housewares. On display and for sale: mint condition concert tees priced in the hundreds, bad boy motorcycle jackets, and World War II navy heirlooms in the form of uniforms, leather carry-alls, and industrial lighting.

The most captivating, adorable items we spotted came from Trico Field, a bi-coastal children’s clothing store catering to all ages—from wee ones to pre-teens. Made famous by stylish Japanese brands, such as FITH, Denim Dungaree, and Go to Hollywood, the Beverly Hills location has been dressing hipster kids since 2007, including Kingston Rossdale, the best dressed little man in Hollywood and spawn of Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale.

Reworked Vintage Sweats and Tees

Expect unique, reworked Heisman sweats, worn-in tees, denim work shirts, cargo pants, and even multi-color, old-school New Balances, which were designed strictly for the store’s distribution. Any adult would be lucky to have clothes as cool and daring as these.

Trico Field is located at 9528 S. Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills, 310.786.8290.
