Three More Reasons To Love The West Village

The urban oasis that is the West Village has it all: classy boutiques, cool treats and great eats, not to mention the Magnolia Theatre and nightlife hotspots Social House and Lemon Bar. But just in case you needed some more reasons to hit the village this week, here’s an update.

Bling

Assembly boutique in the West Village has always boasted some of the hottest trends for men and women, from William Rast  jeans to shoes by Jeffrey Campbell. New to their collection is a gorgeous line of funky, glittering baubles by Alexis Bittar, the nation’s hottest jewelry designer whose pieces have been featured all over the likes of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. From lucite earrings to large agate rings set in bright gold, Bittar’s creations are artful conversation starters.

Cool

CaritoCaro is a new Latin American boutique inside the West Village that donates five percent of all proceeds to the native land of the goods’ manufacturers . Handstitched bags, leather and rawhide purses as well as knitted shoes and jewelry are some of the rare finds at CaritoCaro, crafted by the Wayuu and Embera peoples of Columbia.
