Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027: The Hautest Looks From Chanel, Dior, Saint Laurent and More

From Matthieu Blazy's first-anniversary Chanel to Anthony Vaccarello's all-gold Saint Laurent, the Spring/Summer 2027 looks that made Paris worth the trip.

Paris spent ten days deciding what women will wear next spring, and the answer was not one thing. Matthieu Blazy marked his first anniversary at Chanel by borrowing Gabrielle Chanel’s own 2.55 from the archive, Anthony Vaccarello turned every Saint Laurent archetype to gold for his tenth year, and Jonathan Anderson loosened the New Look at Dior. The fifteen looks below are the ones Haute Living would put on a client first.

The season’s houses could not even agree on a name. Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Celine and Chloé called it Summer 2027, Alaïa called it Winter Spring 2027, and Chanel and Loewe said Spring Summer 2027. What they shared was a turn toward clothes a woman can actually live in, with the drama saved for one look per show.

Look 1 opened Matthieu Blazy’s show at the Grand Palais on October 5, 2026, and it did so with a piece of the house’s own history. A sheer white slip dress, pinned with a Lemarié corsage at the bust, came down the runway with Gabrielle Chanel’s battered 2.55, borrowed from the Patrimoine archive. Model Dyanira Hurbuscher carried the same bag back out on the closing look.

DIOR

Jonathan Anderson showed at the Tuileries on September 29, and Look 5 is his Dior at its most useful. An ivory jacket with a black shawl collar sits over wide metallic silver trousers, finished with a black shoulder bag. It is the New Look loosened for a woman who would rather not wear a ball skirt to lunch.

SAINT LAURENT

Anthony Vaccarello’s tenth-anniversary show at the Trocadéro, also on September 29, turned every Saint Laurent archetype to gold. Look 14, a sleeveless knee-length dress in gold lace with drop earrings, is that idea in its most wearable form. Guipure lace ran through the gilded fabrics all evening.

SAINT LAURENT

Then the gold stopped. Look 51, a black evening gown built from billowing sheer layers, came near the end of a finale the house dressed entirely in black. After fifty looks of gilt, it was the moment the room went quiet, and more than one reviewer read the show as a farewell.

BALENCIAGA

Pierpaolo Piccioli titled his third ready-to-wear show for the house “Les Coraux de la Liberté” and staged it at the Tennis Club de Paris on October 1. Look 21 covers the body in clustered orange organza flowers, filled with compressed air, and sets them over plain cream trousers. Couture technique, worn as daywear.

GIVENCHY

Sarah Burton’s October 2 show saved its statement for the evening. Look 40 is a strapless Yves Klein blue chiffon gown suspended from a looping gilded frame, one of a run of fine jersey dresses draped from brass wire that Burton traced back to Alexander Calder’s circus. It is red-carpet ready, and it is almost no fuss.

SCHIAPARELLI

Daniel Roseberry called the collection “Going Clear” and showed it beneath the Carrousel du Louvre on October 1. Look 1 sent house muse Maggie Maurer out in a black tuxedo dress worn backward, its hourglass quietly rebuilt with boning. It is Schiaparelli’s couture shape rendered in black and white, made for a woman who buys straight off the runway.

LOEWE

Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez showed their third Loewe collection at the Château de Vincennes on October 2. Look 50 takes a basketball jersey and rebuilds it as a yellow and tangerine slip dress, its tie-dye edge fringed and hung with tiny beads. It is the clearest sign yet of what this duo wants the house to be.

CHLOÉ

Chemena Kamali named her October 1 collection “The Obsession Collection,” and the rainwear was the obsession that photographed best. Look 32 is a tomato-red vinyl raincoat with its matching wide-brimmed hat pulled down over one eye, cut from the 1970s fisherman coats and 1950s rain capes she cited. Boho, with a hard edge.

HERMÈS

Nadège Vanhée built her October 3 collection, shown at the Garde Républicaine, around a single word: air. Look 4 puts a long collarless coat, cut with nothing at the neck, over a fine open-knit dress and a white bag. It is Hermès leather and cloth made for a heat wave, which is exactly the summer France had just had.

CELINE

Michael Rider opened his October 3 show at the National Archives in the Marais with a little black dress, cut with a plunging V-neck and a waist left barely defined. Across 71 looks it said everything about his Celine: polished, sensual and unfussed.

ALAÏA

Alaïa showed on October 3 at the former Fondation Cartier on Boulevard Raspail, with no creative director’s name on the door. Doutzen Kroes walked in a vertically pleated silver and burgundy top and trousers with a cream waistband and white pumps. The spiraling pleats are the proof that the atelier can hold the line on its own.

MIU MIU

Miuccia Prada titled the October 4 show at the Palais d’Iéna “Here and Now,” and her idea was to bring elegance to sportswear. Look 75 is the one Gigi Hadid closed in: a dark sports bra worn with a low-slung, crystal-trimmed pleated skirt and running shoes. It is the whole argument of the collection in a single exit.

VALENTINO

Alessandro Michele called his collection “Antibiblioteca” and set it inside the Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève on the afternoon of October 4, asking guests to bring a book. Look 80, the last of about eighty, is a strapless fuchsia satin column that releases into a pale pleated rosette train. His case, made in one gown, is that you need no occasion to get dressed up.

LOUIS VUITTON

Nicolas Ghesquière closed Paris Fashion Week on October 6 in the Cour Carrée du Louvre with a collection titled Ergonomie. Look 48, the finale, is a black suit that trails a black-and-white checked carré scarf behind it like a flag. It is the season’s lightest tailoring, finished with a flourish.
