Sally Hershberger, the influential hair guru (clients have included Kate Moss, Jane Fonda, Naomi Watts, and Tom Cruise), is teaming with celebrated stylist Tim Rogers and renowned skincare clinic The Face Place to open a new salon this week in NoMad. The Sally Hershberger | Tim Rogers Salon at 25 West 26th Street will offer a full range of hair and, for the first time, skin care services. Hershberger’s cadre of prominent hair pros, who are well known for editorial, runway, and celebrity styling, will be relocating to the new space from her Meatpacking District salon;  there will be new additions to the team as well. The skincare services at the salon will be overseen by the Face Place, the West Hollywood clinic that also has a large celebrity following. Its famous rejuvenating Signature Treatment for both men and women will be on offer (70 minutes, $175) along with a range of skin care regimens.

The large (5,000-square-feet) luxe-industrial style space was designed by architect Paul Bennett, who trained under starchitect I.M. Pei. Bennett has also designed experiential spaces for Balenciaga, Ralph Lauren, and Calvin Klein. At the salon there will be pieces from Hershberger’s noted art collection, including a showstopper Andy Warhol silkscreen of Mick Jagger and original photography by Bert Stern, Annie Leibovitz, Herb Ritts, Steven Meisel, and Patrick Demarchelier.

We recently caught up with Hershberger and Rogers to talk about the new salon.

  What will the salon offer?

The salon will be a full-service beauty haven, open seven days a week, offering all manner of services including haircuts, blowouts and balayage highlights. There will be six Face Place treatment rooms for facials, skin peels, waxing, manicures and pedicures.

Why did you choose to partner with The Face Place?

Nobody cleans skin like they do. They have the best youth-enhancing facial treatments and are all about improving skin health. I was obsessed with them in LA and wanted them to be with me in New York.

What special services will there be?

Hair injections by Dr. Roberta Shapiro. She will offer a potent, new and exclusive placental-stem-cell-derived growth factor treatment aimed at repairing damaged and dormant hair follicles.

Sally, you’ve set many celebrity hair style trends. What’s the the hottest cut now?

The shag is back! It’s the perfect, sexy low maintenance cut that almost anyone can pull off. Keep your natural texture and keep long layers long.

Some favorite celebrity cuts?

SH: Model Freja Beha Erichsen’s been rocking a sexy bedhead look for years. Lots of messy waves and grown-out bangs. Also loved JLo’s short curly bob from last year. She added lots of layers to create a feathered look around her face. Major!!

What about hair color trends for 2016?

SH: Its all about warm, rich tones of red using balayage
