When the well deserved weekends finally arrive, it’s all about celebrating an accomplished work week. There is no better way to do just that than with a deliciously boozy brunch. Here’s a look at five of the best in Boston that are worth checking out this weekend.

1 Cinquecento

Bellinis, Bloodys and bucatini is what brunch is all about at Cinquecento. The South End haute spot is where its at on the weekends. Hungry diners come here for a taste of Italy with dishes like the rich tagliatelle Bolognese made with veal, pork, beef and pancetta; simply delightful spaghetti aglio e oilio tossed with garlic and olive oil topped with a fried egg; and the polenta eggs and funghi, a hearty combination of poached eggs with roasted mushrooms and truffled polenta fontina. When you are indulging like this, a boozy cocktail is a must. Try their signature bloody Mary, a white peach bellini, Arancia Frizzante or Buon Giorno cocktail.

2 Oak Long Bar + Kitchen

Oak Long Bar & Kitchen
Belly up to the sleek Oak Long Bar + Kitchen at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel on Saturday and Sundays for a "wake-up cocktail" like the Good Morning Sunshine or Frenchie or go all out with a Wilbur's Bloody made with bacon infused bourbon. Nothing cures a hangover quite like a hearty sampling of homemade biscuits with white sausage gravy; or some morning mac and cheese made with bacon, fried egg and buttery croissant crumbs. For lighter fare, try a New England lobster roll made with tarragon aioli, a cobb salad with roasted chicken or red quinoa with baby kale, pecorino romano and scrambled eggs.

3 Cafe Fleuri

The Langham, Boston
One of Boston's most lavish Sunday brunches returns this Sunday tucked inside The Langham Hotel in the Financial District. Here, Executive Chef Mark Sapienza has created one of the most extravagant spreads in town. The Sunday City Brunch features everything you crave on a Sunday morning like oysters, shrimp cocktails, fresh salads, house-smoked maple cured Atlantic salmon, hand rolled sushi, made-to-order Belgian waffles, an omelet station, carvery, antipasto bar and all of the pasta you could ever wish for. Sip on a bloody Mary or mimosa while listening to live musical performances. Be sure to save room for dessert, which comes from their decadent Chocolate Bar, which makes its fall debut this Saturday.

4 Bistro du Midi

Bistro du Midi
Head over to the haute Heritage on the Garden on the weekends to check out their popular brunch. Sure, you can order up a traditional bellini or mimosa, but why settle for tradition when you can indulge in a signature spiced up bouillabaisse bloody Mary that comes complete with a seared prawn made with saffron-scented seafood broth; or a champagne cocktail Provencal with lavender & grapefruit bitters? Starters include a nice selection of local oysters, yellowfin tuna tartare, and a charcuterie selection. Venture outside your comfort zone with the citrus cured salmon Benedict or indulge in some pillowy ricotta and parmesan gnocchi, a tender flat iron steak with gooey poached farm egg or order up the crispy Croque Monsieur with smoked ham and melted gruyere, all while overlooking the beautiful Public Garden.

5 Taj Boston

Taj Boston
The Rooftop Sunday Brunch at Taj Boston is one of the best ways to take in the beautiful seasonal views of Boston from 17 stories atop the city. The bountiful buffet here served up on a wrap around deck is one of the best splurges you will make. Carving stations, Mediterranean fare, made-to-order breakfast selections, artisanal cheeses, an impressive raw bar complete with crab claws and sushi rolls abound here. The brunches are held here Sundays from April through November so be sure to come in soon before the cold winter arrives and you have to wait until spring for its much anticipated return.
