Tickets for the legendary opera Madame Butterfly, which can be seen at the Centrepoint Theatre in Dubai on November 12, 2015, are now on sale via DUCTAC.

You’ll want to be sure to acquire seating for this incredible performance of one of Giacomo Puccini’s most popular works. Madame Butterfly is being brought to Dubai through a collaboration between The Italian Industry & Commerce Office in the UAE and DUCTAC.

The story of Madame Butterfly, a young Japanese geisha, who takes her own life for love, is set in Nagasaki, Japan, and is the most acclaimed opera of Puccini.

Soprano Monica De Rosa McKay, the only Italian Soprano resident in the UAE, stars in the title role of Cio-Cio San. An English-speaking actress will narrate an interpretation of her point of view on events, allowing the audience and those new to opera to enjoy the show, which is directed by Alex Broun.

The luxuriance of Puccini’s music coupled with the score by Illica and Giacosa is certain to transform the stage into an Oriental wonderland, transporting viewers to the early 1900’s.

You don’t want to miss this haute performance!
