I love when businesses have birthdays, because unlike people, when a business has a birthday they usually are the ones giving some type of gift. Just like The Florentine’s upcoming birthday on November 11. The Italian restaurant will turn three and will be offering a special-priced birthday menu, one lavish getaway for two and extra perks for their loyalty members. The special a la carte birthday menu is three dishes for $11.11, yes on 11/11 you will be able to enjoy some of the amazing fare from Chef Chris Macchia. If you have never been to The Florentine (151 West Adams), you should take advantage of this deal, the food is absolutely delicious. I can say with full confidence that you won’t be disappointed. The three dishes available are as follows:
Antipasti
Carpaccio di Funghi cremini mushroom, mache, herbs, goat cheese, croutons
Pizza
Carbonara housemade pancetta, pecorino, cracked black pepper, béchamel, fried egg
Pasta
Fazzoletti whole wheat handkerchief pasta, duck sugo, salt cured olives, citrus, bay leaf

On November 11, Executive Chef Chris Macchia will lead loyalty card members through a cooking class followed by a pizza dinner with wine pairings. There will also be double points for loyalty members that dine at Florentine between 11/11 and 11/17.
