Start those engines! On Sunday, June 16 from 10 a.m.- 2:30 p.m., the Porsche Club of America-Chicago Region- will be celebrating all things Porsche in Long Grove with their Concours competition. The judging style competition of Porsches from all different eras will be held at Long Grove’s Towner Green area across from The Village Tavern. The event is free.  The public is always welcome to this event where they can get up close to the cars, talk with the owners, compare how the 911 model has evolved over the past 50 years and view all models that comprise the Porsche brand.

More than 50 Porsches will be judged in various classes. At 2:30 p.m., to end the day there will be an awards presentation. This event is the second of five judged events on the Chicago Region Porsche Club of America Concours schedule. Attendees compete for class awards at each event and overall season trophy points.

“The Concours at Long Grove has become a premier event on our calendar always occurring on Father’s Day. This provides our members the opportunity to spend the day with family and friends in a location that is very accommodating. We always enjoy the beautiful setting, fantastic restaurants and unique shops that make Long Grove a highlight on our calendar,” said Michael Grove, Chicago Region Concours Chair. “It is such a sight to see the streets of Long Grove lined with Porsches the day of this event in addition to those on display at the Councours.”
