deca RESTAURANT + BAR and the Ritz-Carlton Chicago are set to unveil the city’s newest scenic hot-spot this May, The dec Rooftop Lounge + Bar. Situated 12 stories above Chicago’s famed Magnificent Mile, The dec will feature outstanding views and the spectacular service and atmosphere one has come to expect from the Ritz-Carlton Chicago and deca RESTAURANT + BAR.
Located just off the hotel’s sparkling lobby and deca Bar, the 57-seat rooftop accommodates up to 100 guests and was designed by San Francisco-based BraytonHughes Design Studios. In addition to chic, cozy seating, The dec boasts an opaque, color-changing LED waved wall and the polished stainless steel circular sculpture, “The Lenz,” by artist David Sorenson. This focal point of The dec was designed to focus on the sky and surrounding buildings all while reflecting the hotel, inviting guests to find their own unique view from The Lenz.
Perfect for grabbing a cocktail before or after dining at deca RESTAURANT + BAR, The dec serves as an extension of the Ritz-Carlton dining experience. Whether dining at deca or lounging on The dec, guests can expect knowledgeable and friendly staff, delicious drinks and tasty dining options for noon or night.
For lunch, The dec will offer an “al fresco” light menu, perfect for afternoon lounging or a quick business lunch. As the sun sets, bites and snacks will be offered, designed to be paired with The dec’s selection of hand-crafted classic cocktails with a twist; draught beers from craft breweries; and specially selected wines and champagnes.
The dec will feature a specially designed, old-fashioned ice cream cart with a spectacular sundae selection from deca RESTAURANT + BAR Pastry Chef Eric Estrella. When the mercury rises, those relaxing on The dec can indulge their inner child and enjoy this whimsical treat while “decing out” this summer at The Ritz.
