The San Francisco Financial District warmly welcomes the Wingtip flagship store, a luxury gentlemen’s retail establishment in an über cool location.
Wingtip opened its doors to San Francisco with a grand opening party on September 27. Housed on the ground floor and lower level of the iconic 104-year-old former Bank of Italy headquarters, this stunning new retail store boasts elements of surprise around every corner – Carrara marble, solid brass fixtures, massive vaults and intricate moldings.
Wingtip founder Ami Arad created the concept of “experiential retail” – almost everything in the club is available for purchase, including an array of luxury apparel, heirloom-quality accessories and custom goods.
The store leaves no stone unturned, with a dedicated barber station using the finest Truefitt & Hill grooming products, as well as the downstairs Bespoke Shop carrying custom shoes, suits, hats, letterpress stationary, belts, etc.
Wingtip’s flagship location includes the 6,000-square-foot store as well as a 12,000-square-foot private club, set to open in December of 2012.
“My mission with Wingtip is to create the ultimate gentlemen’s store and sanctuary for customers who live, eat and breathe our carefully-curated selection of merchandise,” said Arad. “And with the private club component set to open in December, 550 Montgomery will be the premier retreat for men and women to shop, gather and revel in the amenities that we will offer for their loyalty.”
