Cardiff Giant to Debut New Concept Nightclub in Old Voyeur Space

Hospitality group Cardiff Giant has taken over the lease on the former Voyeur nightclub space on Santa Monica Blvd. and is expected to debut a new nightclub concept there in January 2013.

Despite previous speculation that New York City’s burlesque club The Box would open in Voyeur’s location, it appears Cardiff Giant, who also owns The Churchill and The Hudson, already has their plans set in motion.

Voyeur opened in October 2009 and quickly became a West Hollywood hotspot. It closed quietly earlier this year. The building itself was originally a jazz club, but became a Hollywood landmark in 1961 when the famed Pink Pussycat striptease club opened there.

In addition to the nightclub concept slated for the Voyeur space, Cardiff Giant has announced plans to open an as-of-yet un-named restaurant in downtown Los Angeles in the old Heinz loading dock at 712 S. Santa Fe after New Year’s.

The Voyeur space is located at 7969 Santa Monica Blvd. and is expected to reopen in January 2013.
