Disney-Inspired Graystone Manor Listed for $1.5999 Million

Designed by Disney theme park designer Robert F. McDonnell and his family, the La Canada Flintridge Graystone Manor has been listed for $1.5999 million.

The three-story home is located on a quarter of an acre of land and features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, custom leaded and stained glass recreations of gas lighting fixtures, a massive covered porte-cochere leading to two large garage doors, a vaulted ceiling game room and an English Pub style wet bar. Wrought iron hardware is included on most of the doors and windows, brought in from England.

McDonnell was the senior designer for Walt Disney Co. and he reportedly want to create a very personal and charming home in the unique style, enjoyed by millions at various Disney locations. Originally built in 1937, the home’s Disney-inspired touches were added by McDonnell in 1971. The McDonnell’s reportedly wanted to “create the house…in the storybook style that has entertained millions of visitors at the Disney parks. Patty is an expert in various crafts. Robert is currently a consultant on residential design.

Graystone Manor is located in the prestigious Los Angeles neighborhood of La Canada Flintridge.
