The opening reception for artist Clare Rojas’ new solo exhibition Inside Bleak at PRISM was a tremendous success where beautiful people, innovative art and wonderful energy filled the two floor gallery space. The guest list was nothing short of amazing as attendees included art, fashion, film and entertainment magnates from both the NY and LA scene.
Rojas is a San Francisco based artist whose mixed media art included installation panels, quilts and paintings that expose the artist’s ongoing exploration of domesticity and abstract interior spaces. Rojas, who is also a musician, gave a special live performance under her stage name Peggy Honeywell while one of her music videos was being screened at the gallery. Gallery owners PC Valmorbida and Jared Najjar put together a dynamic and chic event where a diverse crowd of celebrities and hip art-mongers discovered and discussed the artist’ most recent work.
Guests included Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Barry McGee, Russell Simmons, Jennifer Missoni, Alex von Furstenberg, Rachel Zoe, Stavros Niarchos, Taryn Manning, Jeffrey Deitch, Dasha Zhukova, Michael Stipe, Nadine Johnson, and Guy Starkman to name a few. It was definitely one of the better events during the Oscar frenzy season!
