Fashion rocks — you don’t have to look far to see how music influences fashion and vice-versa. After all, what would runway shows be without beats for the models to stomp to and what would songstresses wear on stage if it wasn’t for couture — just look at Gaga and Rihanna for evidence of that. To celebrate the fusion of fashion and music, the Grammys have teamed with Gucci for a three-year collaboration of timepieces and jewelry. And to kick off Grammy weekend (and just in time for Valentine’s Day, we have to add) Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza is hosting a trunk show for the brand new collection.
The first-ever collaboration features the I-Gucci, the company’s first-ever digital watch emblazoned with the Grammy logo on the rubber strap. With a two-time zone option, it’s the perfect time keeper for jet setting rock stars, crisp crooners and anyone with a hectic schedule. With the flick, the face transforms into a discreet digital display with two thin digital arms.
Also available is a special edition dog tag featuring an 18K gold gramophone, the Grammy logo, which is available in four variations. Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza will be hosting a trunk show from Thursday, Feb. 10 – Monday, Feb. 14 with a cocktail reception Thursday night to celebrate the debut of this one-of-a-kind collection. The South Coast Plaza location is the only location to host this special trunk show and the only location that carries Gucci jewelry, so whether or not you plan on attending the Grammys, you can definitely look the part.
Bloomingdale’s is located at 3333 Bristol St., at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. For more information on the Gucci and Grammy collaboration or for more information on Gucci jewelry, contact the store directly at 714.824.4600 or visit www.bloomingdales.com.
