South Florida’s top fashion designers and industry professionals will honor five outstanding South Florida women during the inaugural Miami Style Awards at the W South Beach in Miami Beach, 2201 Collins Ave., October 7 at 7 p.m. The honorees chosen for their personal style as well as their extraordinary community service are “Real Housewives of Miami” stars Lea Black and Alexia Echeverria; renowned shoe designer Lisa Pliner; social and political activist Abigail Pollak; and successful beauty and fashion entrepreneur Loren Ridinger. Later in the evening, Grammy-winning singer, producer and composer Albita will take the stage for an amazing performance.
Co-hosted by celebrated fashion designer Julian Chang and Miami International Fashion Week™ (MIFW) Founder & President Beth Sobol, the event will be a spectacular evening of fashion, food, music, and cocktails benefiting the MFW Foundation. Celebrity emcee and “Real Housewives of Miami” star Elaine Lancaster will co-host with Brian Andrews, former WSVN and WFOR anchor and Director of English News at RCN TV Colombia, and Ileana Garcia, host of Alfombra Roja on Romancé Radio. The evening will include presentations by Miami’s top fashion designers, jewelry & accessories designers’ trunk show, top models, and a wonderful silent auction.
