Newport News: Hope Crib Debuts at Newport Cottages

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is in full swing, so you’re probably seeing pink just about everywhere you go. Whether you’re looking for pink ribbons at departments stores like Bloomingdale’s or you’re going all out and getting pink by puckering up at Estee Lauder, there’s something to be said about starting young. At Newport Cottages, they’ve unveiled a limited edition “Hope Crib,” so even your baby can support the cause.

To launch the new crib, Newport Cottages had a party to celebrate the limited edition collaboration with Little Crown Interiors. Known for luxury nursery and kids room design, the firm added details like a plaque perfect for engraving a sentimental message (or to dedicate the crib to a survivor or fighter). A percentage of the crib’s sales will be donated to Susan G. Comen Foundation, working to  ensure that little girls and big ones alike can sleep sound without the fear of breast cancer.

In addition to the crib, the reception had luxury bedding on display, a chandelier donated by I Lite 4 U and artwork donated by Oopsy Daisy. Known for creating celebrity nurseries and handcrafted furniture and décor from local artists, Newport Cottages has an entire line of beds, side tables and other nursery pieces. It’s become a great stop at Fashion Island for parents looking for one-of-a-kind pieces to set their kids rooms apart.
