Out of the Humidor: Alec Bradley Prensado

Alan Rubin is a relative newcomer to the Premium Cigar industry when you compare him to folks who’ve grown up in the business generation after generation.  Naming the company after his two sons, Alec Bradley has become one of the most significant brands of the last 5 years, slowly and deliberately launching great new products that are well made, well aged and absolutely ready to be enjoyed.

At least year’s International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers annual trade show in New Orleans, Rubin launched his Alec Bradley Prensado line.  Prensado translates to “box-pressed” in Spanish, paying tribute to the fashion in which the line of cigars is finished.  The cigars are manufactured in Honduras at “Fabrica de Tabacos Raices Cubanas”, the same factory that makes his  Alec Bradley Tempus cigar.

The cigar features a very unique wrapper tobacco, Corojo 2006 grown in Trojes, Honduras.  The rest of the blend uses wonderful tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua.  The cigars smoke with a medium to full body.  It’s got dynamic flavors that range from black pepper and all-spice to toffee and espresso.  Packed in boxes of 20 cigars an available in five formats, there is an Alec Bradley Prensado to suit every cigar enthusiast’s needs.
