Zheng He’s

Renowned for its excellent cuisine and luxurious ambiance Zheng He’s is one of the most popular Chinese restaurants in town. The outdoor terrace is situated on the creek of the Medinat Jumeirah. Dimly lit and quiet, diners can peacefully enjoy the restaurant’s superb cuisine while looking onto the small boats which pass and listening to the soft sounds of the water. The Boardwalk

This long-time favorite al fresco restaurant offers a magical setting and delicious food. The restaurant itself is located on three pile platforms on the Dubai Creek so that you can enjoy firsthand the busy activities of creek life while munching on delicious internationalal cuisine. This is not a gastronomic adventure but you can expect to be quite satisfied from a plate of fish and chips or a nice Caesar salad. The real charm of the boardwalk is the location and the lovely outdoor views.

Eau Zone

One of the more romantic spots in town, Eau Zone is located in the stylish One & Only Royal Mirage Hotel. The setting is magical: Wooden jetties surround a lagoon-shaped pool lit with many warm candles. The menu is decidedly fusion with good European dishes given a slightly Asian twist. This is a lovely al fresco spot worth the extra bucks.

Sho Cho

Another long-time Dubai favorite is the inventive Japanese restaurant Sho Chos located by the sea at the Dubai Marine Resort and Spa. The outside terrace overlooking the Persian Gulf is consistently packed, even on weekdays. The menu is highly innovative and rarely fails to impress. Try the king fish with jalapenos or a good beef teriyaki.

Pierchic

A delicious seafood restaurant built on a private pier at the Al Qasr Hotel, Pierchic is perhaps the epitome of a romantic al fresco restaurant. The breathtaking location leaves you feeling as if you’ve left Dubai and are now at sea. The stunning view includes a panorama of the Burj Al Arab, Palm Island, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and Dubai Marina. While there try the lobster and carrot falafels with Tasmanian trouts and also the scallop starts. Certainly worth a visit for such a unique dining experience.
