Tom Cruise has settled a $50 million defamation suit against a magazine that accused him of having had "abandoned" daughter Suri after divorcing her mother, Katie Holmes. In a sworn affidavit filed last month in federal court, the 51-year-old star said the claim that he had abandoned his daughter was "patently false."
