Her enthusiasm and love for the art and sciences continued at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery with Distinction in Dental Education. Dr. Korous has obtained many certifications in areas of Cosmetic Dentistry, as well as Implant Dentistry, sleep and airway, and TMJ.

My greatest achievement:

The biggest achievement of my career is building a loving, compassionate, and caring team of professionals who are ready to serve our patients and the entire community at large. At Millennium Smiles, we truly believe that teamwork makes the dream work, and we work together as a power team to help our patients to have the best dental VIP experience.

The future of my field is:

Our mission is to treat the underlying cause of common dental issues that are interrelated with medicine. We are incorporating our advanced, state of the art technology to become the go-to dentist in the DFW Metroplex area. Our focus is in the areas of cosmetic, airway, sleep, TMJ disorders, and Myofunctional therapy to treat our patients not only for cosmetics but also to help improve sleep breathing disorders, and oral muscular disorders. Our goal is to bridge the gap between oral and systemic health.

The biggest misconception about my field is:

Most people think that dentistry is limited to treating teeth decay and improving gum health. Within our practice, we not only look at our patient’s oral health but also how it is interconnected with their systemic health. For example, lack of oxygen and poor quality of sleep can lead to ADHD, anxiety, depression, asthma, high blood pressure, snoring, allergies, dementia, headaches, diabetes, aggression, fibromyalgia, hypothyroidism, and obesity. Oral health is closely integrated into our everyday well-being.

My most requested procedures are:

Veneers, Full mouth Rehabilitation, Vivos (growing airway), Invisalign, Implant dentistry, TMJ disorders, Onlays, Crowns, extractions, Myofunctional therapy, Expanders, and Airway ortho.

What surgical advancements are you most excited about?

Solea laser is a soft and hard tissue laser that can be used in many instances to cut decays or tissue without having patients numb.
Laser consists of water and light that blocks the nerve channels which helps with the numbing effect. Solea laser also can be utilized for the procedures like gingivectomy, tongue-tie release, gum depigmentation in order to make the color of the gums lighter.

Fully digitally guided implant surgery for single or multiple implant placements.

PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma therapy was taken from autonomous blood to promote bone formation and tissue healing after extractions.

What are you best known for?

We are best known for our compassion and love towards our patients and the holistic approach that we take in order to provide the optimal treatment options to our amazing patients. We are great advocates for our patients, and we focus on patient education to allow them to make informed decisions for their oral health which is very much interrelated to their systemic health.

What is your most memorable patient reaction?

My most memorable patient reaction is when they cry and get very emotional after seeing their smile transformation for the first time. Also, when I am able to get my patients out of TMJ disorder pain. The love and gratitude they share with me bring me so much joy. These are defining moments that are so fulfilling and rewarding and I am thankful to witness such experiences. It is such a privilege that I can change the quality and quantity of people’s lives in such a meaningful way.

What sets my practice apart:

We are a patient-centered practice where patients are our number one priority. Our goal is to create a comfortable and spa-like environment, with a compassionate team and doctor who truly understand that the dental phobia is real. We do our very best to provide a welcoming environment and VIP experience which includes a massage chair, essential oil, headphones, music, warm towel, and LED lighting for a more soothing vibe. We also offer nitrous, Level 1 Oral sedation, and complete sedation as needed to help our patients overcome their dental anxieties.

What I love most about my profession is:

Dentistry is always advancing. We now can provide a Same Day crown at the office, while serving breakfast or lunch to our patients, and performing dental fillings without anesthesia with Solea laser. We have advance technologies to help us professionals and also our patients to have better experiences altogether. We are always looking for ways to improve our team and for that reason, dentistry is a perfect profession for us.

Career defining procedure?

Combination of cosmetic veneers, full mouth rehabilitation, and addressing the sleep-related issues to help patients to improve their quality of life.

What new services are you excited to offer?

We truly believe that outer beauty is a true reflection of our overall health. Sleep is such an integral part of our lives which our bodies need to restore and repair from the day to day activities. It brings so much joy to our practice to be able to help patients with sleep breathing problems, sleep apnea symptoms, or snoring by providing solutions to their problems.

Our office provides a comprehensive approach to treat underlying causes of sleep-related issues.

With Vivos appliance and Myofunctional therapy, we are able to grow the airway, correct muscle function, and improve the quality and quantity of our patients' lives. After building the foundation with Vivos appliance and therapeutic techniques, we can complete the work with full smiles cosmetic transformation, Invisalign, and/or orthodontic treatment. We truly enjoy what we do in all aspects of dentistry.
