With New York Fashion Week, Fall 2011 wrapped up (still the European shows left), there are a few trends that stand out. Red. Green. Fur. Tweed. Wide-leg pants. Maxi skirts. As always, two of my favorite designers put on two of the most splendidly gorgeous shows, Oscar de la Renta and Ralph Lauren

First and foremost there is the announcement that Lea will be joining the cast of Bravo's Miami chapter of their hit Real Housewives franchise. The recently announced show is set to premiere on Feb. 22 (10 p.m. ET) on Bravo and the Texas-bred philanthropist along with her husband are both set to be major players.

Celebrate Downtown Miami's newest urban green space and be part of history as HistoryMiami (formerly the Historical Museum of Southern Florida) dedicates the Miami Circle on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 11:30 a.m.

Earlier this month, Fiorentini + Baker opened its first flagship boutique in the U.S. at 54 Mercer Street in SoHo. Bold romantic styles are not only ideal for spring attire, but perfect for South Florida year round. Miami designer Claudiae just recently launched her spring collection that consists of everything a woman in the tropics can appreciate. Styles like long relaxing maxi dresses, classic capris and jumpsuits all make up Claudiae spring collection. The designer introduces a gorgeous silk jumpsuit called the Nina Jumpsuit Silk Charmuse, which is a sophisticated take on such a relaxed style.

Since the launch of the new Setai Fifth Avenue hotel, much has been said of its impressive 11,000 square-foot Auriga Spa that occupies the entire fourth floor of the building. Over the weekend, the Candy Queen herself, Dylan Lauren founder and CEO of Dylan’s Candy Bar came to the brand new Books and Books in the Museum of Art in Fort Lauderdale. Beginning at 1pm on Saturday, February 19th, Lauren brought in a crowd as she spoke about her latest book, Dylan’s Candy Bar: Unwrap Your Sweet Life. Let’s just say, it was a sweet success. On Saturday night, Paris Hilton had her 30th birthday party. Jason Pomeranc and I arrived at his hotel, the Roosevelt, where Jeff Beacher opened up Beacher's Madhouse. She had a really cute video of her family and friends from when she was a kid. Then friends ate and mingled until the circus acts started. There were midgets, dancers, and cotton candy. Such a wild evening!
