Get Your Tickets for Junior Committee’s Collective Consciousness Gala Tomorrow Night
I’m warning you now to take it easy this Cinco de Mayo so you can get plenty of beauty sleep in preparation for tomorrow night’s Collective Consciousness gala, hosted by the Junior Committee of the Alzheimer’s Association for the New York City Chapter. You will find me there, at the Hudson Terrace on West 46th Street, from 8 to 11 p.m. Can’t reveal what I’ll be wearing yet, but it will be something spectacular, while perfectly suited for an evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and music from DJ Chachi.

Revamped and ready for action the original Hollywood hotspot, Las Palmas, is going back to the basics. The h.wood group has taken on the legendary restaurant and nightlife destination and reverts back to the venue’s past. With plans to re-open on the anniversary of its original opening, Cinco de Mayo, only select VIPs are invited to be the first to experience the rejuvenated venue. A grand opening is scheduled for May 12.

There are many things we are thankful for in this city. Ample parking, HOV lanes, those vintage red cowboy boots you bought that match perfectly with everything in your summer wardrobe.
What we also do here in Dallas--I suppose all around Texas, actually--- is Mexican food. Don't count me among the cynics: I try queso, salsa and enchiladas in pretty much every city I visit, on this continent and others. Unfortunately, given our history and relationship with our neighbors, I would reckon Texas delivers about the best Mexican cuisine this side of the Rio Grande.
