Roman-born artist Andrea Sampaolo will debut his first American exhibition in Miami’s Design District on tonight with the premiere of “I am American: so I am contemporary.” Tonight’s opening reception at luxury Italian retailer Poltrona Frau’s Miami showroom from 7 to 10 p.m. will feature a live presentation introducing a new audience to the multimedia artist’s unique style and process. Privileged guests will sip cocktails and snack on hors d’oeurves as Sampaolo paints while accompanied by a three-piece orchestra. His presentation is informed by an ongoing, fluid dialog with the fine art, fashion, design, communications, musical and technological arenas.

Everyone’s favorite curvaceous cutie was in town yesterday pimping engagement rings as the spokeswoman for Search for the World’s Best Couple, a social media contest in which couples around the world are competing in challenges such as best photos, stories, pet names, and all around mushiness to win a 22.25 carat stunner from Michael Hill Jewelers. Michael Bisbee has always been fascinated by the nightlife and culinary industries so it comes at surprise that as the owner of The LGN Group he is responsible for many of Chicago's favorite celebrity hotspots. Throughout college and during the years immediately following his graduation, Bisbee learned the ropes of the nightlife/hospitality industry by making the rounds as host, kitchen staff, bus boy, bartender and manager at numerous locations in Chicago. In 2003, Bisbee ventured into his first partnership as co-owner of Belly’s Bar & Grill (Bisbee parted ways with Belly’s in 2005). It was in October of 2005 that Bisbee took his experience from the nightlife industry that resulted in the opening of RiNo Lounge followed by Manor Nightclub, Stay Lounge and The Cedar Hotel. With The LGN Group opening a second restaurant in Spring 2011, it is safe to say that this handsome entrepreneur is on a roll.
