RA Sushi in Old Town Scottsdale just entered its teen years! … And it feels like spreading some of the love. The sushi bar will celebrating its 13th anniversary tonight (Oct. 21) from 8 p.m. to close with a Japanese carnival benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona (BBBS). Plus, RA Sushi restaurants in multiple states have partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation and will be serving ONEHOPE Wine and a special pink roll to raise breast cancer awareness.
Dubbed “the original,” the RA Sushi location in Old Town will be hosting a Japanese carnival in honor of its 13th “birthday,” complete with beats by DJ Convince, fire dancers, geisha girls, origami artists and of course, plenty of food and drink specials.
Nibble on such tasty rolls as the Geisha Gyoza, Kyoto Dynamite, Red Lantern Roll, the Tokyo Roll, and even the Big Brothers Big Sisters Roll. And don’t forget the cocktails, either, because $2 from the purchase of each food and drink special will benefit BBBS. Guests will also be able to enter a raffle (tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20) to win prizes such as restaurant and spa packages, with all ticket sales benefiting BBBS as well. (P.S. You’ll even receive an additional raffle ticket with the purchase of a Big Brothers Big Sisters Roll, so go for it.)
And in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, all five RA Sushi locations throughout the Valley (as well as those in California, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Nevada and Texas) are offering a special “pink” combo through Nov. 15 — a glass of ONEHOPE Wine’s 2009 California Chardonnay and a Pink Roll for $15. The roll features shrimp, kani kama crab mix and sriracha combined with lettuce, avocado and cucumber wrapped in pink soy paper and served with a pink ribbon of strawberry sauce. And for every combo sold, 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
So now you have two things to celebrate with RA!
