José Andrés is Bringing Bazaar Back to Miami Beach With Bazaar Meat
Bazaar Meat Miami Beach by José Andrés opens October 22, 2026, at Andaz Miami Beach, bringing open-fire, modern tapas to Mid-Beach.
José Andrés is bringing Bazaar back to Miami Beach. Bazaar Meat Miami Beach, the chef’s theatrical take on the steakhouse, opens on October 22, 2026, at Andaz Miami Beach Resort and Spa, by Hyatt, at 4041 Collins Avenue — three and a half years after The Bazaar by José Andrés left South Beach.

That earlier run still looms large. The Bazaar opened at SLS South Beach in June 2012 and quickly became one of the city’s buzziest and most critically lauded restaurants, before closing in March 2023 at the end of its agreement with the hotel. José Andrés Group describes the new restaurant as bringing back “the energy, excitement, and unforgettable spirit of The Bazaar’s time in Miami” — this time as a steakhouse built for today’s city.
Bazaar Meat is, in the group’s words, “a wild celebration of the carnivorous,” and the Miami Beach room is designed to be dark, seductive and theatrical. The kitchen takes center stage, with large-format cuts seared over open flames in full view of the dining room, alongside farm-fresh vegetables, modern tapas and a Cubano the restaurant promises is unlike any you’ve tasted.

Overseeing it is Manuel “Manny” Echeverri, the Miami-based culinary director for Bazaar, who has spent more than a decade with José Andrés Group, WhatNow reported. Across the brand’s existing locations in Las Vegas, Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C., the menu leans on Ibérico ham, wagyu, foie gras and caviar; the full Miami Beach menu has not yet been released.

The opening completes a plan that has been in the works since Andaz Miami Beach opened in May 2025 as the Andaz brand’s Florida debut. The 287-room Mid-Beach resort launched with two José Andrés Group concepts, the Mediterranean restaurant Aguasal and the all-day Bar Centro, with a Bazaar restaurant promised to follow.

It has been worth the wait. Miami has no shortage of steakhouses, but few offer what Andrés does best: technique, spectacle and a sense of humor on the same plate. Bazaar Meat gives Mid-Beach a genuine dinner destination, and gives Andrés back the Miami stage he left in 2023.
