Ted Sarandos was honored for his humanitarian efforts at Wednesday evening’s Brass Ring Awards at the Beverly Hilton.

The Netflix COO was presented with an honor dubbed “The Brass Ring Award” by Jeff Garlin, which was bestowed upon him in part to the fact that he is an advocate for arts in education and also that he serves on the board of Exploring The Arts, a non-profit focused on arts in schools and is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.

The gala dinner raised over $1.5 million for the L.A.-based non-profit, United Friends of Children (UFC), whose mission is to provide foster youth with housing programs, jobs, and educational opportunities as they transition into becoming adults.

Will Arnett hosted the evening, which was attended by Jeffrey Katzenberg, Jim Gianopulos, Constance Zimmer and Robin Wright.
